Equestrian pursuits are inherently dangerous and can result in serious injury. Therefore, hiring Firs & Feathers Equestrian facilities is entirely at your own risk, you accept and agree to the following terms:
- For Arena Hire, 24 hours’ notice of cancellation must be given otherwise a full charge for hire will apply. All arena hire bookings are non-refundable but can be transferred to another date if at least 24 hours’ notice is given.
- Futhermore;
- First Aid will not be provided by Firs & Feathers Equestrian.
- Children under 16 must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult in the arena.
- An adult with a working mobile phone must always be in attendance.
- All lone riders must carry a working mobile phone.
- All riders MUST wear a hat to the standard of EN1384, ASTMF1163 or PAS 015 at all times when mounted.
- Hirers must stick to their allotted time slot so they don’t interfere with any other bookings.
- All gates must be kept shut at all times.
- Horses and ponies must not be left tied to any trailer or horsebox.
- Dogs must be kept on leads at all times.
- Riders are requested to report any damaged/broken jumps immediately and will be charged for a replacement along with carriage fees.
- All fences must be left the way they were found.
- Please note that whilst courses are set, it is your responsibility to ensure heights and distances are set to your own abilities.
- No lunging in Arena. All droppings must be removed from the arena and the parking area.
- Use of the arena is entirely at your own risk. The hirer MUST hold current insurance to a minimum of Third-Party Liability. If an Instructor or Trainer is using the facility in the course of business, they must hold the relevant professional insurance cover. A copy of this insurance may be requested and retained by Firs and Feathers Equestrian.
- Firs & Feathers Equestrian, nor its owners, employees or any persons acting on their behalf accept responsibility for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to hirers, riders, horses, owners, spectators, property, vehicles (including contents and accessories), whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever during their attendance at the premises in connection with the usage of any of the equestrian facilities. Riding, working with horses and handling horses can be dangerous and horses can be unpredictable. Persons using the facilities do so at their own risk and the proprietor will not be held responsible for any accident, injury or loss.
